Our Story

As a third generation Texan, from an early age I've been drawn to the concept of home and its ability to comfort and inspire us, entertain us and provide a backdrop for creating lasting memories with family and friends.

While attending the Sorbonne University in Paris as a foreign exchange student, that passion was ignited, surrounded by the quality of life and living at the heart of the French culture. 

This experience has continued to suffuse my work, values and lifestyle driven focus in selling real estate and leading our incredible team of agents.. 

As a multi-disciplinary creative and broker for 17 years, I have explored many avenues and functions of real estate - from selling residential and commercial properties, to developing, remodeling and designing homes, gardens, hotels and hospitality venues. 

My vision for Fauve House is to connect the fields of real estate and design with lifestyle products and experiences in order to provide an holistic range of services, from purchasing or selling a home to designing and filling it with curated pieces and works of art. 

I am proud to work alongside a team of talented and passionate individuals, equally committed to their own growth and that of their clients and families. 

I love Austin and am blessed to work and play alongside some of our most innovative entrepreneurs, creatives and residents that lend the city its vibrancy and warmth. And while Austin is home base, Paris will always remain a source of inspiration and home away from home.

Meredith has been a proud Austinite for 28 years with ties to central Texas all her life, spending time at her family's land in Salado since she was a child. Originally from Plano, Texas, Meredith has built a career working with mission-driven organizations ensuring that they grow, thrive, and support communities they operate in. She also comes from a long line of educators and it has been essential since a young age to always give back.

Meredith brings over 20 years of proven sales experience and a lifetime of community service having volunteered for Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Truth Be Told in addition to helping raise funds for noteworthy causes that work to improve the lives of children and families in Texas and across the world. Having graduated from the University of North Texas with a Fine Arts and Education degree, she is passionate about arts and architecture. She was also an elementary art teacher early in her career and taught at J.J. Pickle Elementary School. She currently serves on Travis Heights Elementary School Operation Thunderjoy committee which helps to fundraise and support at-need families during the holidays. 

Merging her passion for teaching, art, real estate, and community, Meredith is the perfect guide for representing Sellers and Buyers. Meredith is rooted in service, community, and has been dubbed "the other Mayor of Austin" given her extensive network of trusted contacts. Meghan Hughes has called Austin home since 2005 and brings to real estate an intimate knowledge of the city, its diverse neighborhoods, incredible restaurant, nightlife and recreational scene.
